RV-SKILLS, an industry-focused centre for skill development, has taken a definite shape in Bengaluru, to cater to the fast-changing dynamics of the Indian industry, particularly in the automotive segment.

RV-SKILLS  focuses on training and research, with special emphasis on emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Automotive Electronics (AE).

Pioneered by the RashtreeyaSikshana Samithi Trust (RSST) in strategic association with Nanochip Solutions Pvt. Limited, RV-SKILLS is set to emerge as the one-stop destination for people pursuing excellence in emerging fields like AI, ML, AE and VLSI design under the tutelage of industry experts.

Venkatesh Prasad, Group CEO-RV SKILLS, said, “Technology is advancing at a rapid pace and it is becoming increasingly difficult for people to stay ahead of the learning curve. Today, beyond the realm of engineering education, AI, Analytics, Big Data, ML and AE, are making a big impact on several core sectors. It becomes imperative for us to keep pace with emerging technologies if we have to remain innovative and competitive.”

Earlier known as RV-VLSI, the transformation of the centre into RV-SKILLS was necessitated by the changing requirements of the industry. “We expect AI, AE and VLSI design to dominate every sector in the coming decades. We had to converge all our resources, tools, expertise and knowledge on a single platform to equip students with the right training and development needs and hence, RV-SKILLS took shape,” said Dr. M K PandurangaSetty, President, RashtreeyaSikshana Samithi Trust.

First of its kind Centre

The centre has top industry professionals as faculties with industry standard technical infrastructure. The learning is on industry tools and applications and has the added advantage of over 100 Industry interfaces and an alumni network of more than 4500 professionals.

Recognizing the efforts of RV-SKILLS, Manu Saale MD and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Research & Development, India, said, “The future of mobility needs agile talent to go beyond this. VLSI, AE and AI domains are interrelated, engineers with domain expertise in one of these areas and with a broad view of the other two domains will be needed by the industry. I am confident that RV-SKILLS will pioneer many such centers throughout India to benefit the students and the industry.”

According to AnanthaKinnal, Executive Chairman and Co-founder of Calligo Technologies, “Calligo Technologies is an Intel-Technology partner and we deliver Intel-centric advanced AI-Trainings at premier institutes such as IITs and NITs.  We are happy to collaborate with RV-Skills to offer job-oriented Training Programs on Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning/Deep Learning, leading to high-tech jobs at Calligo and other companies”.

2500,000 man-hours

Started in 2006, RV-VLSI has delivered over 2500,000 man-hours of job-oriented training that includes highly specialized corporate training programs by a cumulative faculty experience of more than 125 years. It has now laid the foundation for RV-SKILLS, which is based on the belief that learning and skilling is best imparted when industry professionals manage the show.  RV-SKILLS is also a Certified Training Partner of Electronic Sector Skills Council of India and is working closely with the council to develop training ecosystems in the sector.

RV-SKILLS follows a Learn-Apply-Build training methodology through classroom, lab and project sessions to nurture the capability of self-thinking towards formulating a solution for the problem or towards reverse engineering a solution from the problem. This is a key skill required to understand-adapt-innovate in the industry. All students undergo thorough continuous assessment throughout the course modules to ensure the desired level of learning and skill development at every stage.

The programs offered are Advanced Diploma, Blended Diploma and Certificate courses available as full-time and part-time courses for students, graduates, professionals and corporate. For more, visit www.rv-skills.com
