Cyber security, EV trends, Vehicle Software plays centre stage at Auto EV Bharat 2025 forum discussions

Auto EV Bharat 2025 is conducting panel discussion on various subjects related to electric vehicle and automotive industry in general under its concurrent session brand Auto EV Tech Vision.

Cyber security and the Software defined vehicle revolution played centre stage at the forum discussions held in Auto EV Bharat 2025 show in Bengaluru.On the day 2 of the India’s most awaited trade fair, the panel discussions held under the concurrent session brand of Auto EV Tech Vision, in which several industry leaders shared their views.

Addressing at the forum, Dr D Suresh, CEO, & GCTO, Spark Minda Group  said “ Cyber Threat is a raising concern which needs innovative robust security solutions.”

Supply chain issues, charging infrastructure, V2G, Connectivity, VMS poses potential security threats, Suresh said.

He also said that TARA, TPM, HSM, SHE and ISO 21434 are key enablers for efficient, resilient and complaint cyber secure environment.

Devendrakumar, Director of NDPMEarlier in his welcome note address, Devendrakumar, Director of NDPM, organizers of the event, said, “What does the future hold for electric vehicles in India? This question has been on the minds of many as we transit towards a cleaner and greener transportation system. With advancements in battery technology, infrastructure development, and government support, the possibilities are endless. Electric vehicles are not just the future but they are present.”

Devendrakumar said, “Let us continue to work together towards a future where electric vehicles are the norm rather than the exception.”

He also said, “We as a country positioned to take a leading role in research and development activities. By focusing on these key areas, the industry will experience significant growth and expansion.”

Siva Prasad KokaIn his opening remarks, Siva Prasad Koka, Founder & CEO of Embedded Bridge, said, “From advanced powertrains to smart sensors and digital dashboards, today’s EVs are more than just clean – they’re high-tech platforms for the future of mobility.”

By 2026, Siva Prasad Koka said that China will sell more EVs domestically in a single year that the U.S. sells all vehicles combined – gas, hybrid and electric. That’s not just a milestone but it’s a global wake up call.

He also expressed his concerned over sudden decline in the market share of electric two-wheeler sales in October 2025 at stood at 4.56%, down from 6.76% a year ago in India. It may be noted that the EV two-wheeler share in the over all two-wheeler sales stood at 8.09% in a month ago September 2025.

However, he said the electric passenger vehicle sales increased to 3.24% from 2.2% in the same period.Auto EV Bharat 2025

He also said the electric vehicle players should tap the unaccounted business like street e-rickshaws in Delhi. The scale is staggering, these manufacturers sell approximately 10,000 e-rickshaws monthly, while  the organized sector manages just 1,500-2,000 units.

With around 20 lakh e-rickshaws already on Indian roads, only about 10% are officially registered, he added.

Auto EV Bharat 2025In a panel discussion in the summit, the panelists discussed how the software has been revolutionizing the vehicle industry.

Under the topic, “Code to Road : The Software Defined Vehicle Revolution,” the panelists have expressed their views on the subject in detail.

As panelists, Latha Chembrakalam, Founder & CEO, AutoAscend Pvt Ltd, Vikram Bhat, GM-Automotive Software, AUMOVIO, Yogesh Davangare, Head of Technical – R&D Centers, Marelli India, Naved Narayan, Vice President, Head R&D Center, Bosch Global Software Technologies and Rajkumar Anantharaman, Senior Director, Software Engineering, AAES of NXP India  have participated while Mombasawala Mohamedsaeed moderated the event.

Auto EV Bharat 2025In yet another panel discussion titled “Automotive & EV Electronics – Bottlenecks and Breakthroughs”, the panelists have thrown light on how EV electronics segment has been emerging as a new vertical in the automotive segment.

Jailendra Kumar, President, Advanced Computing & Communications Society, Kavitha Verma, CEO of Maxwell Energy Systems, Atul Srivastava, VP, Votary Softech Solutions, Rajesh Sura, Co-Founder, Dynolt and Piyali Goswami, Director of Software Engineering, Jacinto Processors, Texas Instruments India have participated as panelists while Siva Koka moderated the event.
