Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2020, made a resilient start on February 5 at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida, manifesting a future ready perspective.

The theme of this edition of the show is – ‘Explore the World of Mobility’, which resonates with the industry’s vision and message of technology & capability–for a safer, cleaner, connected, bespoke and shared mobility for tomorrow.

Makers & Products

On the first media day at the Auto Expo 2020, the vehicle exhibitors launched and unveiled more than 48 products, including both global & India premier.

The highlights were, Maruti Suzuki  has announced a plan to sell 1- million green cars over the next few years under its ‘Mission Green Million’. As a part to realize the Mission Green Million, Maruti Suzuki has showcased CONCEPT FUTURO-e. 

The European Renault revealed the TRIBER EASY-R AMT at the Auto Expo 2020. Tata Motors displayed the widest range of BSVI compliant portfolio and Unveiled ‘HBX Show car’, based on the ALFA ARC, and the ‘Sierra EV Concept’ and introduced the ‘Hexa Safari Edition’.

Hyundai Motor India unveiled The New 2020 TUCSON on the day one day of Auto Expo 2020. Also, having successfully introduced category-leading products such as the HECTOR and the ZS EV in the Indian market, MG Motor India showcased the future of mobility with a wide line-up of global products including the Marvel X, the world’s first mass-production model to achieve Level-3 Intelligent Driving.

Kia Motors India has introduced two new products for the Indian market, alongside the sophisticated Kia Carnival premium MPV. It also unveiled the new Sonet concept at the show.

Mahindra & Mahindra has showcased of 18 vehicles, including future concept vehicle and line-up of electric vehicles, Passenger & Commercial Vehicles. Mahindra turned the spotlight on its range of electric vehicles and unveiled Funster – a roadster concept with a playful convertible mode, ATOM – a new age electric urban mobility solution & e-XUV300 & e-KUV100 –  the eagerly awaited electric vehicles for shared mobility.

German luxury car maker Mercedez-Benz has launched the fastest AMG GT 63S 4M + 4 Door Couoe, unveils the AMG A35 4M Limousine and the New GLA SUV. It unveiled the C43 Coupe, AMG G 63, Electric Car EQC 400 4MATIC Edition 1186, Mercedes-Maybach, New E Class, MB Certified C-Class, New Long Wheelbase GLE & the New GLC. 

Volkswagen brand showcased its SUV portfolio, which comprised of the Volkswagen Taigun, T-Roc, Tiguan and Tiguan Allspace.

SKODA Auto India hosted the world static premier of the Vision IN, designed and developed under the SKODA Auto led ‘India 2.0’ project.

JBM Auto displayed two variants of ECO-Life e9 & e12 electric buses, showcasing two variants AC & non-AC of the ZEV.  

Chinese manufacturers, Great Wall Motors, globally premiered its Haval Concept H and announced the India debut of the concept vehicle – Vision 2025, and showcased models- Haval: H9, F7, F7x, F5 and the GWM EV: iQ & R1.

HAIMA Automobile displayed two of its worldwide successful passenger vehicles – 7X and 8S and would soon firm up its plans for the Indian market.  It showcased its next generation family electric car – Bird Electric EV1, a hatchback that will be available in the range of Rs. 10 Lakhs on Indian roads.

Revolutionizing the shared mobility space, Force Motor has launched  three new platforms with 7 variants. World’s first next gen modular monocoque bus platform, diesel and electric version of next gen shared mobility platform – along with the all-new Force Gorkha and hundred percent electric traveler. Force Motors also displayed the range of engine produced for leading world majors.

SML Isuzu presented 5 of its latest products: three in passenger and other two in cargo segments, with BS-VI compliance.

In the two-wheeler segment, Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the BS VI editions of the All New Access 125, Gixxer series, Burgman Street and Intruder. Suzuki Motorcycle India displayed its product portfolio including the entire range of scooters and motorcycles, along with BS-VI compliant V-Storm 650 XT 2020 edition. Along with the current India product portfolio, Suzuki Motorcycle India also displayed The Katana and Team Suzuki Ecstar Moto GP machine, GSX-RR for biking enthusiasts.

Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2020 is scheduled from 7-12 February 2020 at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida and spread across a total ground area of 2,35,000 sq mtrs with key automobile majors participating in indoor built-up area of 51,000 sq. mtrs (gross).
