SUPRA SAEINDIA 2026The 13th edition of SUPRA SAEINDIA will witness participation from 75 teams, comprising 57 Combustion Vehicle (CV) teams and 18 Electric Vehicle (EV) teams, representing 75 institutions across India. The growing EV participation reflects the increasing emphasis on sustainable and future-ready mobility solutions within the student engineering ecosystem.

SUPRA SAEINDIA, the Formula Student (FSAE) event in India, is organised by SAEINDIA, an affiliate of SAE International.

As part of this initiative, a series of Rulebook Workshops are being conducted in February 2026 to help participating teams gain a clear understanding of the Formula Student Rulebook, technical requirements, and inspection expectations. These sessions focus on rule interpretation, compliance strategy, documentation, and technical inspection readiness.

Workshop Schedule:

  • 14 February 2026 – PSG College of Technology (Completed)
  • 21 February 2026 – Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University
  • 28 February 2026 – KIET University

The objective is clear — to ensure teams design and build their vehicles strictly as per FSAE regulations, with clarity on safety, electrical, structural, and technical requirements well before the event.

In addition, an online technical training programme will be conducted in March 2026 by Ansys (a Synopsys company). This programme will enable teams to strengthen their simulation, validation, and performance analysis capabilities using industry-grade engineering tools.

Adding further value to the learning ecosystem, teams will also get an opportunity to interact with the Formula E Team Race Directors from Envision Racing, offering insights into international electric racing standards, operational structure, and professional engineering practices.

With engagement of over 2,500 students nationwide, SUPRA SAEINDIA 2026 continues to build a strong technical foundation for young engineers — going beyond competition to create a structured, regulation-driven, EV-forward and industry-connected learning platform.
