Royal Enfield to invest Rs 1,225 Cr in Greenfield plant in Andhra Pradesh

The Board of Directors of Eicher Motors Limited, the parent company of Royal Enfield, approved an investment of Rs 1,225 crore for Phase I of the Greenfield expansion at Tada in Andhra Pradesh.

When expanded and at full utilisation, the Greenfield facility can produce an additional 4.5 lakh motorcycles per year. The above capacity addition is expected to be completed during FY 2029-30, subject to market conditions.

Govindarajan, Managing Director – Eicher Motors Ltd., and Chief Executive Officer – Royal Enfield said, β€œTo support our growth over the long-term, we announced plans for a new greenfield manufacturing facility in Tada, Andhra Pradesh, to expand our capacity beyond the existing facilities in Tamil Nadu.”

The announcement was made by the company while releasing its first quarter results on July 28, 2026.

Royal Enfield recorded its highest-ever quarterly motorcycle sales of 332,940 units, up 27% YoY from 261,326 units in the corresponding quarter previous Β year.
