VALEO Universal Flat Wiper Blade

Global automotive technology supplier Valeo India has launched Valeo Universal Flat Wiper Blades for the Indian market. This advanced wiper technology will be produced at Valeo India’s Vallam site located near Chennai.

Valeo India said this product is part of its Universal Flat Blade platform that has a large portfolio of meticulously engineered wiping system products to improve visibility at high speeds and increase road safety.

The Universal Flat Wiper is fast becoming the standard for new vehicles in India, as already it is the trend in Europe, America and China. The blade is lightweight in design with lower drag force to reduce motor torque. It imparts uniform pressure all over the windshield and maintains good contact even at high speed limits of more than 160 km per hour.

The wiper blade’s design permits it to enhance the wiping durability and optimized cleaning at lower noise levels. It is custom-made to endure unique Indian weather conditions, such as high heat and humidity during summer, as well as severe snowfall during winter.

In addition, the wiper blade features a uniquely designed connector for fixing the blade to ensure highest safety. Valeo’s innovative design provides robust and sleek style to the Blade in line with the current market trends and meets all needs of the end user.

With installed capacity to manufacture 400,000 units per year at its Vallam plant, Valeo will initially focus on supplying to the Original Equipment Manufacturers and then move to catering to the Indian aftermarket later.

Valeo Wiper Systems Product Group develops cutting-edge technologies, which clean windshields, rear windows and optical sensors to offer drivers and autonomous cars an excellent visibility continuously. These lightweight solutions are designed not only for increased comfort and safety, but also for reducing CO2 emissions.
